If there’s one thing we can expect from August, it’s that it will be nothing short of eventful. As the month is in full bloom, there are several highly anticipated festivals that you can enjoy before the summer winds down. Here is our list of feasts for the foodies and events we cannot wait to attend:

When and Where: August 20th - 21st, Yonge & Dundas Square

With over 20 chefs, 40 performances and 600 artists, bringing together the 41 countries that make up the American continent, this festival is truly a celebration of culture, allowing attendees to experience the broadest range of flavors, music, and dance.

When and Where: Friday August 12th - 14th, Ontario Place, West Island

The Toronto Waterfront Night Market makes a highly anticipated return from Friday August 12th to August 14! In celebration of the QiXi Double Seven Festival (known as Asia’s version of Valentine’s Day) this event boasts interactive entertainment such as the Floating Lantern and Cultural Showcase.

When and Where: August 12th - 28th, Various Locations

From August 12th to 28th you can get the taste of summer in Toronto as restaurants launch their featured summer menus. With mouth watering selections from our favorite restaurants like Oretta King and Eataly, this experience will have you wishing summer was all year long. When and Where: August 19th to September 5th, Exhibition Place

At this point what is a Toronto summer without the CNE?! After a two year hiatus, there is nothing but anticipation for Toronto’s iconic end of summer event. From the Carnival Midway with roller coasters and thrill rides, to the Food Building featuring cultural cuisines, to live events hosted at the Coliseum like circus acts, acrobatics and parkour, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Personally, we’re looking forward to the funnel cakes and sky ride!

Saturday August 20th, Woodbine Park

You’ll be on cloud wine, at the ultimate Rosé Picnic on Saturday August 20th! With a chance to indulge in the finest from Ontario local wineries as well as internationally loved selections and to taste gourmet samplings from celebrity chef Mark McEwan and the Food Dudes, this will be an event to savour! Wine not!

When and Where: June 27th - Aug 28th, 65 Front Street West (outside Union Station)

If you often find yourself at Union Station for your daily commute, why not take a short break from being on the go? TD has brought summer to the city with vendors like Souvla, Gus Tacos, Mikey’s Smash Burgers and Naansense in an outdoor patio experience at the plaza along Front Street (just outside of Station) until August 28th! Take a moment for yourself and enjoy great eats, daily live programming featuring films, music and more!
